El Centro, CA – September 20, 2024 – The public is invited to attend the Grand Opening of Jacaranda Gardens, a new affordable housing development, on October 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. The event will be held at 1625 N. Waterman Avenue, across from the recently developed First Responders Park.
Jacaranda Gardens, developed by Chelsea Investment Corporation, consists of 96 affordable housing units designed to serve low-income families earning between 30% and 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). This project is Chelsea Investment Corporation’s fourth affordable housing development in El Centro, furthering its commitment to providing accessible housing in the region.
The development features five three-story residential buildings and a single-story community facility. Residents will have access to free onsite supportive services provided by Pacific Southwest Community Development Corporation, a leading service provider in Imperial County. These services will include adult education programs, computer literacy, ESL classes, art workshops, job counseling, financial literacy training, and a focus on health and wellness.
