Trash and Recycling

The City provides 3-bin trash collection and recycling services to all residents and businesses through CR&R Environmental Services.

Solid Waste Account Services

Residential accounts are managed and invoiced by the City. Contact the City Finance Department at (760) 337-4510 for account questions or to open an account.

Commercial, multi-family, and special services accounts are managed directly by CR&R. Contact CR&R at (760) 482-5656 or visit CR&R’s webpage for account questions or to open an account.

Commercial Recycling

According to Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), the business sector generates more than half of the solid waste in California (approximately 68% of waste disposed). While significant commercial recycling already occurs, much of the commercial sector waste disposed in landfills is clean enough to be recycled. CalRecycle recently adopted Assembly Bill 341, implementing a mandatory commercial recycling requirement for medium-to-large businesses and multi-family complexes. Electronic Waste Disposal

The City partners with CR&R and the IVRMA to provide a FREE electronic waste pickup and drop-off programs. Electronic waste includes computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, televisions, DVD players, hard drives, fax machines, cell phones, etc.

Residents can schedule a pickup from IVRMA by calling 1-877-732-9253 or calling CR&R at (760) 482-5656. Used oil may also be collected curbside FREE of charge. To schedule a used oil pickup, please contact the CR&R at (760) 482-5656.
