City of El Centro – Earth Day Celebration
El Centro, CA. April 10, 2023 – Invest in OUR planet! The City of El Centro is pleased to announce its Earth Day Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the proposed Dog Park site, located at 698 Park Avenue, El Centro. This year’s Earth Day theme is “Invest in Our Planet.”
The Earth Day Celebration will feature a tree steward workshop, tree planting, and festive crafts activities for people of all ages. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about local environmental issues and ways to positively impact their communities.
“The City of El Centro is excited to celebrate Earth Day and offer an event where our community can learn all the different ways that we can protect our Earth and offer children a better and safer future,” stated Martha Cardenas-Singh, Mayor for the City of El Centro.
In addition to the educational exhibits and activities, there will be music, local food vendors, and participants will have a chance to enter a raffle to win a free tree! Let’s make our planet a cleaner, greener, and happier place to live! See you there!
