El Centro Police Department Detective Hernandez honored by District Attorney’s Office

El Centro, Ca. – April 29, 2024 – The Imperial County District Attorney’s Office recently honored El Centro Police Department Detective Alfredo Hernandez for his valuable support of crime victims. The DA’s Office Victim Witness Assistance Program recently hosted a luncheon to observe National Crime Victim’s Rights Week.

At the luncheon, Program Director Melissa Moore underscored the transformative impact of Detective Hernandez’s referrals, which have been instrumental in helping victims transition from the aftermath of victimization to the resilience of crime survival.

“We are proud of the work Detective Hernandez does for our department and our community,” said El Centro Police Chief Robert Sawyer. “His observation and attention to detail make him a great detective, but more importantly, his work helps victims start the healing process.”
