El Centro, Ca. – July 3, 2024 – The City of El Centro has two designated cooling centers for the upcoming extreme temperatures: the bus terminal at the corner of State and Seventh Streets and the Imperial Valley Mall.
The bus terminal is equipped with misters that will be activated from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., potentially longer if people use the center. The bus terminal cooling center will be open daily, starting today, until extreme temperatures subside.
The Imperial Valley Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
