City of El Centro to Host Downtown Town Hall at Old Post Office Pavilion

El Centro, CA. – May 28, 2025: The City of El Centro invites the public to a Downtown Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, June 10, at 9 a.m. at the Old Post Office Pavilion, located at 230 S. 5th Street. The meeting is hosted by the Community Development Department and Community Services Department and will provide updates on ongoing city projects and plans for Downtown El Centro.

“This is about listening to our community and ensuring Downtown El Centro reflects the needs and vision of our residents,” said Mayor Sonia Carter. “We want everyone’s voice to be part of the process as we work to create a safer, more welcoming, and economically vibrant downtown.”

The event will also give residents an opportunity to share feedback and participate in shaping the future of the downtown area. Topics of discussion will include infrastructure, public safety, beautification, economic development, and upcoming events. Light refreshments will be provided.

In addition, the city is conducting a public survey focused on Downtown El Centro, open through June 4. The survey is available at www.cityofelcentro.org and invites residents to share opinions on business needs, safety, beautification, and community priorities. The results of the survey will be shared with the public during the June 10 Town Hall meeting.

For more information about the meeting or survey, contact the City of El Centro Community Development Department at (760) 337-4545 or visit our website.
