El Centro, CA December 21, 2022 – The City of El Centro and Donors Phil and Elise Heald invite you to attend the Dog Park Groundbreaking Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10 AM in the 600 block of Park Avenue, adjacent to the Brett Driscoll Sidewinder Skate Park.
The proposed Dog Park will have an area for small and large dogs, dog amenities such as a fire hydrant water fountain, and an obstacle course. The project is anticipated to be completed in the Summer of 2023.
The total project cost is $900,000. Phil and Elise Heald have graciously donated $500,000 to construct a dog park, and the remaining funds are from the City’s Measure P fund. Additional donors are welcome as we have wish list items such as extra shades and dog exercise areas to make this a cutting-edge project.
Donations to the dog park are tax deductible.
Do not hesitate to contact Community Services Director Adriana Nava via email at anava@cityofelcentro.org or via telephone at (760) 791-8504 to find out more about this project or to make a charitable contribution.
