El Centro, Ca. – August 7, 2024 – The City of El Centro has recently installed additional stop signs in the area south of Interstate 8, near the South Imperial Avenue extension. The new stop signs can be found at the following intersections:
- Wake and Cypress Avenue
- Wake Avenue and 18th Street
- Danenberg Drive and Cypress Avenue
These installations are based on a traffic study conducted by the City following the opening of the South Imperial Avenue extension to traffic. The stop signs are currently covered and will become active on Monday, August 12, 2024. Enforcement of the new stop signs will begin on that date.
