City of El Centro

El Centro Public Library

How can I get a library card?

El Centro residents are asked to supply TWO (2) forms of identification to receive a library card. Adults can present a photo I.D. (i.e. driver’s license or identification card) and a second item showing a current address (utility bill or personal check with name and address) to receive a card. Persons under 18 years of age are asked to bring their parent or guardian with them when they apply for a library card. Parents or guardians must have the necessary identification with them in order to register their child.

NON-RESIDENTS of the City of El Centro who have a current library card from their city or town may register and receive a library card. However, proper identification must be shown.

NON-PERMANENT RESIDENTS living in non- permanent quarters such as hotels or campgrounds may also receive a library card by presenting proper identification and requires a $9.00 fee.

FOR OUR WINTER VISITORS
Please bring your current identification and a library card from your permanent residence and we will issue you a temporary card at no charge.
