Welcome to the El Centro Police Department
On behalf of the men and women, both professional staff and sworn members of the El Centro Police Department, we hope you find the website useful and informative. The purpose of the website is to provide information to our diverse community, answer your questions and provide insight on general police services. We hope the resources provided help to strengthen our partnership and build on the pillars of Community Policing. All members of the El Centro Police Department value our motto, “Every Hour, Every Day” and will work hard to maintain the family values that make El Centro a great place to live, work and visit.
The El Centro Police Department has a strong philosophy of community engagement and exceptional public serve. Contemporary leadership practices are essential in order to improve transparency, accountability, responsiveness and service to our community. It is our mandate that crime prevention, traffic safety and quality of life issues be addressed for all residents through innovative policing practices and enhanced community relationships. Policing has changed in the 21st Century and the El Centro Police Department has embraced the six pillars of modern policing: Building Trust and Legitimacy, Policy and Oversight, Technology and Social Media, Community Policing and Crime Reduction, Training and Education, and Officer Wellness and Safety. These pillars are the foundation of our contemporary leadership and management philosophy that will enhance public trust as we provide effective and efficient public safety services to our community.
All members of the El Centro Police Department share the same vision that only through strong community trust, support and relationships can we reduce the fear and incidence of crime, improve public safety and quality of life for all our residents and visitors. It is my honor and privilege to serve as your Chief of Police and I welcome your questions, thoughts or feedback to ensure we are providing the best public safety service possible.
