Scheduling an Inspection

Inspections must be requested by 4:00 PM to schedule an inspection the following business day. Staff cannot accommodate scheduled times. To schedule an inspection, call the Building and Safety Division at (760) 337-4508. In the event that your call is not answered please leave a voice mail and provide the following information:

• Permit Number
• Street Address
• Date of inspection
• Name on the Building Permit
• Your Telephone Number
• Type of Inspection Requested
• Special instructions on how to access the property

Preparing for your Inspection

• Ensure that the inspector can access the property
• Relocate any dogs or other animals away from the project site
• Have your permit card and approved building plans ready. If no one is present leave it in a visible location
• Provide a Cal-OSHA approved ladder at the project site for roofing inspections
