IVRMA hosts Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Recycling Cleanup Events throughout the year at various locations throughout the County. El Centro typically hosts a Cleanup event at CR&R location.

In addition, every Saturday morning, IVRMA accepts HHW and E-waste at 702 E Heil Avenue, El Centro CA from 8 AM to 12 PM. For additional information visit IVRMA.org.

Other events in neighboring communities happen throughout the year. Residents are invited to attend any IVRMA cleanup event to dispose of their unwanted household chemicals that cannot be disposed of in the regular trash. HHW items includes any product labeled: toxic, poison, combustible, corrosive, flammable, or irritant.

Common types of HHW include electronic waste, paints, pesticides, lubricants, oil, drain cleaners, fluorescent light bulbs, sharps and batteries.
