Winter Activities
On September 29, 2020, the El Centro Aquatic Center was given the greenlight to reopen its doors once again for limited activities such as Lap Swimming, Water Exercise and Family Public Swim days. All activities were limited to a 30% maximum capacity, with a reservation system implemented. All opening precautions and daily use of the facility adhere to the local and state health guidelines.
The El Centro Aquatic Center’s staff work diligently to keep the facility clean, sanitized and safe at all times. And in celebration of Halloween this year, the Aquatic Center hosted its very first free Pumpkin Splash: Floating Pumpkin Patch in partnership with the Imperial County and 95.3 The Edge Radio station.
By giving the community a safe alternative to their Halloween celebrations, the community had to register prior to attending and face coverings were required at all times when not in the water.
Families were able to enjoy a beautifully warm day at the pool, jumping into the water and picking their favorite pumpkin. Currently the Aquatic Center is only open Tuesday – Friday for Lap Swimming and Water Exercise, 5:30am-9:30am & 3:30pm-6:00pm.
