Summer Senior SWAG BAGS
During the closure of the Adult Center this summer, our adult and senior population were provided with monthly SWAG bags that contained various art projects, crossword puzzles, important COVID-19 information, resource information on food and assistance and a variety of paint and canvases for them to paint.
The program was in partnership with the El Centro Regional Medical Center, El Centro Public Library, Area Aging Agency, Catholic Charities, California Census and a variety of donors. Seniors were also provided masks, hand sanitizers, water and toiletries.
This program has been very helpful for seniors who have felt isolated during this pandemic. We provided bi-weekly check in days to ensure our Seniors were safe and provided them with additional resources for food deliveries.

We partnered with the Special Olympics Southern California, San Diego Special Olympics and Imperial Valley Autism Group to provide all youth with a bag filled with crafts, puzzles, Olympic shirts, masks, hand sanitizers, shields, important information for parents and mask donations from Special Olympics Southern California donors.
