Parks & Recreation Services
Each week, fifty (50) youth zoomed in to follow instructions from their instructors. The program was successful due to the partnerships of the Imperial County Public Health, Americorps, El Centro Regional Medical Center, El Centro Optimist Club, El Centro Public Library and our recreation staff. The swag bags were provided each Friday through a drive by set up for parents to pick up weekly activities. The program was held at the El Centro Community Center.
Using our creative and innovative minds!
This summer the Recreation Division became very creative and offered an eight week virtual recreation ZOOM camp for children Kinder through 6th grade from June to August. The summer program consisted of weekly themed activities that were offered by our recreation zoom host and our virtual instructors leading the group on exercise, nutrition classes, and fun crafts for the entire week.
